Novella Farm K Seychelles 1/10/21 (Dragonfly SOL Kamara *B x Dragonfly AJ Tanzania) ADGA /AGS    Xena

I was planning on starting with 3 does, but when I heard about Xena I couldn’t say no. She’s beautifully put together and might be a bit too athletic. She can leap right onto a 4ft table from a standing start! She’s as sweet as can be and will come up to me to ask for cuddles. I haven’t been able to get a really good look at her udder and it’s capacity, since she came with her greedy little goose of a doeling! For now, her milk is for Gabi. The one time I managed to milk Xena before Gabi got to her, her milk was very sweet and creamy.

She has been milking about 1/2-2/3 of a quart a day recently, since Gabi has decided it's time to grow up. That said, Gabi is still getting a little milk periodically so I won't have a good idea of Xena's milk production until she kids in January.

Novella Farm Sun Felicite 2/11/22 (Castle Rock Walkinonsunshine x Novella Farm K Seychelles) ADGA/AGS Gabi

At this point two things are clear: Gabi is one very well put together young goat and she knows it! She has more attitude than the adults, and she gets away with it because she’s a kid. She’s just as athletic and sweet as her dam and will ask to be held.

Gotta B Kid N Faerie Tale 4/9/18 (Dragonfly HLJ Gaudette x Gotta B Kid N TB Unforgiven) AGDA/AGS Faerie

I fell in love with Faerie from the moment I saw her, with her gorgeous head and well put together body. Things got better once we got her home and I milked her for the first time. Yum! Sweat, creamy amazing milk! She has responded beautifully to transitioning from conventional care to holistic, and I can’t wait to see what her kids are like!

Personality wise, yes she has one and its fairy precious! She's very sweet and loves to be cuddled & scratched. She also insists on being first in line for milking and tilts her head and stamps her foot if I'm late! When the Faerie demands service, she wants it now after all! :D

One thing I've noticed is that the longer she's receiving natural feed & herbal parasite control, the more she is milking. Her udder has grown in size since we got her, and she last kidded in February!

Right now as of July 2022, she's milking a total of 1 quart a day, a little over 2lbs. This is her udder from July after having kidded in February as a third freshener with 3 kids.

Planted Pines Mischief 2/8/19 (Little Tots Estate Pandaceae x Planted Pines Zoodles) ADGA/AGS Mishka

Note to self: there are reasons why a goat earns herself the name Mischief. And no, calling her Mishka hasn’t stopped the cuteness or the...well mischief. She is one of those in your pocket types. Nothing would make her happier than living in the house with us. That doesn’t really work for us so we’ve come to a happy arrangement...she and the other does get to live in the pasture right next to the house. Yes, her favorite spot to rest is right next to the door.

I love her robust frame. She is simply a solid, well put together goat. Her sister, Nutmeg, looks just like her from the photos I’ve seen online. While Mishka has not yet been LA’d, her sister has been and appraised at VVVE 89 in 2020. Yes, she may not have the prettiest head and kinda looks like ALF, but she makes a lot of milk and I’m really looking forward to seeing what her kids are like.

We don't call her Mish-cow for nothing. She typically milks 1.5 quarts a day, and that is just after 4 months of natural care following her first freshening. I can't wait to see how her udder develops when she has her next set of kids.

This is her in July, after having had 2 kids back in February as a first freshener. Her typical milk production has been 2.5-3lbs a day.
